Trumpets are used to announce the approach of a King or the proclamation of a decree, or announcement. The trumpet symbolizes Baha'u'llah's Revelation, which calls people to God and announces the Glad-Tidings of God's word amongst humankind. The meaning of Jesus' words (Matt.24:31) is essentially about the proclamation of the Faith of God. When Baha'u'llah states, 'We have chosen thee to be our most mighty Trumpet', He is referring to His Revelation and calling upon the believers to carry His message to the people of the world.
