For example, in the Book of Revelation it is also prophesied that the holy city will be trodden 'under foot' (Rev. 11:2). It states that this will last 42 months. In the next verse it speaks of 'two witnesses' who will prophesy 1,260 days. Moreover, the Book of Revelation also employs the same terminology found in Daniel's vision, i.e. 'a time, times, and half a time' (Rev. 12:14). Many Christians concluded that a comparison of these time periods revealed that all these passages were written in special prophetic language, and that they all pointed to the same sequential period of time. (79:2) The Bible uses the term 'a time' to refer to a year.
