The Bab considered himself only a "ring upon the hand" of Him Who was yet to come. He said that he would be the first to bow down before Him. He told his own followers: (98:1) "I, verily, am a believer in Him, and in His Faith, and in His Book, and in His Testimonies... and pride Myself on My belief in Him." (Esw p154)
