Chapter 22 of  60

Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us (22:4)

He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision (22:5)

Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure (22:6)

Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion (22:7)

I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee (22:8)

Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession (22:9)

Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel (22:10)

Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth (22:11)

Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling (22:12)

Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him. (psa 2:12) (22:13) see

I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved (22:14)

Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope (22:15)

For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. (psa 16:8-10) (22:16) see

My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring? (psa 22:1) (22:17) see

But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people (22:18)

All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying, (22:19)

He trusted on the Lord that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him. (psa 22:6-8) (22:20) see

They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and roaring lion. (psa 22:13) (22:21) see

For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have enclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet (22:22)

I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me (22:23)

They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture. (psa 22:16-18) (22:24) see

I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee. (psa 22:22) (22:25) see

They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this. (psa 22:31) (22:26) see

He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken. (psa 34:20) (22:27) see

Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears has thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required (22:28)

Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me, (22:29)

I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.(psa 40:6-8) (22:30) see

Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever. (psa 45:2) (22:31) see

Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre (22:32)

Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows (psa 45:6-7) (22:33) see

I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever. (psa 45:17) (22:34) see

Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also that the Lord God might dwell among them. (psa 68:18) (22:35) see

For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me. (psa 69:9) (22:36) see

They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink. (psa 69:21) (22:37) see

Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto the king's son (22:38)

He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment (22:39)

The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness (22:40)

He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor (22:41)

They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations (22:42)

He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth (22:43)

In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth (22:44)

He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth (22:45)

They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust (22:46)

The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts (22:47)

Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him (22:48)

For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper (22:49)

He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy (22:50)

He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight (22:51)

And he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall he be praised (22:52)

There shall be an handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth (22:53)

His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed. (psa 72:1-17) (22:54) see

I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old: (psa 78:2) (22:55) see

Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah. (psa 89:4) (22:56) see

Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people. (psa 89:19) (22:57) see

Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth. (psa 89:27) (22:58) see

His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven. (psa 89:29) (22:59) see

His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me (22:60)

It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah. (psa 89:36-37) (22:61) see

Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands (22:62)

They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed: (22:63)

But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end. (psa 102:25-27) (22:64) see

The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool (22:65)

The Lord shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies (22:66)

Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth (22:67)

The Lord hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek (22:68)

The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath (22:69)

He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many counties (22:70)

He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head. (psa 110:7) (22:71) see

The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner. (psa 118:22) (22:72) see

Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord: we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord. (psa 118:26) (22:73) see
