However, another use of the term `Prophet' is implied in the Bible. This is the "Messianic" type. Moses differs from all the prophets in the Old Testament who came after Him because He was the mediator of a new covenant. This covenant originated a new phase in Israel's religious life. All the prophets who came after Moses sought to propagate, establish, and maintain this new phase.
