If Baha'i prophecy disclosed a bright future for the Jews of Palestine, not so for those of Europe. During His Western tour, 'Abdul- Baha lovingly urged Jewish audiences to accept Jesus Christ, first for the spiritual benefit of embracing divine truth but also because such recognition, by building bridges of friendship with Christians, could mitigate the unjust oppression that otherwise would befall their race. '...you must not think that this is ended,' He said, referring to past persecutions. 'The time may come when in Europe itself they will arise against the Jews' (PUP 414)..
