(45:1) ..(24:6-8) Historic Millennial Responses to Catastrophes-- Throughout history Christians have looked upon wars, famines, pestilences and earthquakes as the harbingers of the Second Advent. As early as the fourth century, Ambrose (c. 340-97), who was Bishop of Milan, believed that the wars of his time were signs of the approaching end.
