In 1904 and 1907 commissions were appointed by the Turkish Government to inquire into the charges against 'Abdul-Baha, and lying witnesses gave evidence against Him.. (58:7)

Between the sittings of the commissions .. He pursued His ordinary life.. planting fruit trees.. presiding at a marriage feast with the dignity and radiance of spiritual freedom.. (59:1)

The four corrupt officials.. departed.. No sooner had they got back to Constantinople.. than the Revolution broke out.. the Young Turks established their supremacy, and all political and religious prisoners in the Ottoman Empire were set free. In September 1908 'Abdul-Baha was released.. (59:2)
