The Writings lay down basic principles affecting economic organization but leave the details for the Universal House of Justice to decide according to the circumstances of the time.. (135:3) "The time will come in the near future when humanity will become so much more sensitive than at present that the man of great wealth will not enjoy his luxury, in comparison with the deplorable poverty about him. He will be forced, for his own happiness, to expend his wealth to procure better conditions for the community in which he lives." ('Abdul-Baha) (135:4) "Therefore, laws and regulations should be established which would permit the workmen to receive from the factory owner their wages and a share... of the profits, or in some other way the body of workmen and the manufacturers should share equitably the profits and advantages... It would be well.. (for) moderate profits to manufacturers, and to workmen the necessary means of existence and security for future. Thus when they become feeble.. and die leaving children under age, these children will not be annihilated by excess of poverty. And it is from the income of the factory itself, to which they have a right, that they will derive a little of the means of the existence." ('Abdul-Baha)
