Christ - Return Events
Behold, I come as a Thief. Blessed [is] he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. (rev 16:15)
NOTE: Many Christians point to the following verse from Matthew as evidence that this is not true:
For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. (Matthew 24:27)
However, it is interesting to see the verse from Matthew together with the equivalent verse in Luke:
For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one [part] under heaven, shineth unto the other [part] under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. (Luke 17:24)
Here is the very next verse in Luke:
But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation. (Luke 17:25)
NOTE: Christ returned like 'lightning' to those who were watching, but as a "Thief in the night" to those who are "dead" or "asleep". Consequently, the sleeping world will only gradually become aware: "Therefore you must also be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect" (Matthew 24:44).

To come with a New Name:
And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a NEW NAME, which the mouth of the Lord shall name. (Isaiah 62:2)
And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name: (Isaiah 65:15)
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a NEW NAME written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth [it]. (Revelation 2:17)
Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, [which is] new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and [I will write upon him] my new name. (Revelation 3:12)

To Come from the East:
..who raised up the righteous [man] from the East, called him to his foot, gave the nations before him, and made [him] rule over kings? he gave [them] as the dust to his sword, [and] as driven stubble to his bow. (Isaiah 41:2)
[In] that day [also] he shall come even to thee from Assyria, and [from] the fortified cities, and from the fortress even to the river, and from sea to sea, and [from] mountain to mountain. (Micah 7:12)
And I will set my throne in ELAM, and will destroy from thence the king and the princes, saith the Lord. (Jeremiah 49:38)

To Come from Persia:
And I will set my throne in Elam, and will destroy from thence the king and the princes, saith the Lord. (Jeremiah 49:38)
[In] that day [also] he shall come even to thee from Assyria, and [from] the fortified cities, and from the fortress even to the river, and from sea to sea, and [from] mountain to mountain. (Micah 7:12)

To Come from Fortified Cities:

To travel to Valley of Achor:
And Sharon shall be a fold of flocks, and the Valley of Achor a place for the herds to lie down in, for my people that have sought me. (Isaiah 65:10)
And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the Valley of Achor for a door of hope: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt. (Hosea 2:15)

To travel Mountain to Mountain:
[In] that day [also] he shall come even to thee from Assyria, and [from] the fortified cities, and from the fortress even to the river, and from sea to sea, and [from] mountain to mountain. (Micah 7:12)
[Baha'u'llah traveled from the Mountains of Sulamaniyah to Mount Carmel as a Prisoner and Exile] (50:7) see

To travel Sea to Sea:
[In] that day [also] he shall come even to thee from Assyria, and [from] the fortified cities, and from the fortress even to the river, and from sea to sea, and [from] mountain to mountain. (Micah 7:12)
[Baha'u'llah crossed the Black Sea and the Mediteranian Sea on His exile] (50:8)

To go to Babylon (Iraq):
Be in pain, and labour to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail: for now shalt thou go forth out of the city, and thou shalt dwell in the field, and thou shalt go [even] to Babylon; there shalt thou be delivered; there the Lord shall redeem thee from the hand of thine enemies. (Micah 4:10)

To go from Fortress to River:
[In] that day [also] he shall come even to thee from Assyria, and [from] the fortified cities, and from the fortress even to the river, and from sea to sea, and [from] mountain to mountain. (Micah 7:12)
[After 9 years within the Prison walls, of Akka, Baha'u'llah was at last permitted to leave the Fortress and go out to the River in the Garden of Ridvan] (50:10) see

To dwell in Midst of Carmel:
Feed thy people with thy rod, the flock of thine heritage, which dwell solitarily [in] the wood, in the midst of Carmel: let them feed [in] Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old. (Micah 7:14)
It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the Lord, [and] the excellency of our God. (Isaiah 35:2)

To be taken from Prison/Judged:
He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. (Isaiah 53:8)

To Unseal the Books:
"O Daniel, shut up the Words and seal the book, even to the time of the end.." (Dan 12:4)
"...then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?" "And he (the Lord) said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end".. (Daniel 12:8-9)
"And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a BOOK that is sealed,. which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed." (Isaiah 29:11)
"...judge nothing before the time until the LORD come, who.. will bring to light 'the hidden things of darkness'.".... (I Corinthians 4:5)

To Feed His Flock with Teachings:
He shall feed His flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry [them] in his bosom, [and] shall gently lead those that are with young. (Isaiah 40:11)

To Speak Plainly; not Parables:

To have Government on Shoulder:

Of the increase of [his] Government and peace [there shall be] no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. (Isaiah 9:7)
But in the last days it shall come to pass, [that] the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. (Micah 4:1)

To Overthrow Wicked Kings:
He shall cut off the spirit of princes: he is terrible to the Kings of the earth (Psalms 76:12)
The Lord hath broken the staff of the wicked, [and] the sceptre of the rulers. (Isaiah 14:5)
And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] the Lord shall punish the host of the high ones [that are] on high, and the Kings of the earth upon the earth. (Isaiah 24:21)

To be shown Marvelous Things 40 Yrs:
According to the days of thy coming out of the land of Egypt will I show unto him marvelous [things]. (Micah 7:15)

To be from Seed of Abraham:
In the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates: (Genesis 15:18)
Then again Abraham took a wife, and her name was Keturah. And she bare him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And Jokshan begat Sheba, and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim. And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abidah, and Eldaah. All these [were] the children of Keturah. (Genesis 25:1-4)
