Resurrection of Jesus (106:0)

If no resurrection, Faith Vain: "And if Christ be not risen, then [is] our preaching vain, and your faith [is] also vain." (1co 15:14) [However, nowhere in the writings of Peter and Paul do they even Hint that the Resurrection of Jesus was fleshly or physical. They always show clearly that it was "in the spirit". Our True Reality is Spiritual. When the body dies, our Spirit Survives. We go to live with the Lord in the Spirit. Paul says that this is such a wonderful thing that we should not only NOT Fear death, we should look forward To it. We should "prefer" it. Paul and Peter clearly state that when Jesus was crucified, His physical body died. He was changed and became a "Life-Giving Spirit". He commended His Spirit into His Father's hands, and His Spirit ascended to heaven. Paul even states the "Flesh and Blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God". Flesh cannot enter God's spirit world: So (it is with) the resurrection of the dead.. It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body.. (1co 15:39-44) [This is pretty clear. Flesh cannot enter spiritual existence at all (js)] (106:3) see

In Christ all shall be made Alive: For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. (1co 15:22) [Was he speaking literally here, that all shall be made physically alive? (js)] (106:6) see

Last Adam died, became spirit: And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam [was made] a quickening spirit. (1co 15:45) [He did not say He became life-giving flesh, nor that his fleshly body came back to life. Paul never taught that Jesus' Resurrection was physical. He taught that it was spiritual "In spirit and in power." "When Jesus died, He became a life-giving spirit."] (106:7) see

Death in Flesh, Alive in Spirit: For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: (1pe 3:18) ['Alive "by" the Spirit' (as in early translations such as the King James Version) is a mis-translation. Modern Bibles render this as 'Alive "in" the Spirit' Peter only mentions the resurrection once in all his writings. He clearly says that He was made alive in the Spirit (click 'see' for King James Version) (js)] (106:8) see

Home in Body/away in Spirit: Therefore [we are] always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) We are confident, [I say] , and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. (2co 5:6-8) [Paul would prefer to be away from his body and in the spirit (js)] (106:9) see

Paul chose to remain in the body: For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Nevertheless to abide in the flesh [is] more needful for you. (phi 1:24) [Paul explained that he preferred to be away from his body and be with Jesus (js)] (106:11) see

Time of my departure is at hand: For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. (2ti 4:6) [Shortly before Paul was beheaded] (106:12)

Peter ready to Put off his Body: Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting [you] in remembrance; Knowing that shortly I must put off [this] my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath showed me. (2pe 1:14) [According to Peter and Paul, we must give up our body to go to God's Spiritual Realm. We are not just a body with a spirit, but it is probably more accurate to say that we are a Spirit that temporarily has a body. Our true reality is Spiritual.
