Beast Prophecies (day = year) (122:0) ar 91

Beast of Bottomless Pit kills Two Witnesses: And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. (rev 11:7).. And after three days and a half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. (rev 11:11) [The Bahá'í Writings say that the Two Witnesses were Muhammad and His son and son-in-law Ali (the 1st Imam) (js)] (122:1) 91 see

Note: Three 1/2 days = three 1/2 years. This is the same prophetic time period of 1260 days, "forty and two months", or "a time and times and the dividing of time". Students of Scripture agree that all these phrases referred to one period of time, namely 1260 years. [3.5 x 360 equals 1260 years (with a day for a year)] (122:2) ar 91

Beast was, is not, shall ascend: And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns. The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. (rev 17:7-8) [Note: Later translations render this as "The Beast that "was", "is", and is "yet to come". The beast that "was" is the beasts in the past, which from John's perspective 2000 years ago, were the Empires that had occupied Jerusalem in the past. The beast who "is" is the beast who were occupying Jerusalem at the time of John, which was the Roman Empire. The beast that was "yet to come" was the beast of the future (from John's viewpoint 2000 years ago). This was the Islamic Empire, ruled by the Umayyad Dynasty and those dynasties that followed (since it is the only Empire that has occupied Jerusalem since the Roman Empire) (js)] (122:4) 91 see

Daniel's Series of Beasts: And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another. (dan 7:3).. And he shall speak [great] words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. (dan 7:25) [1 time + 2 times + 1/2 time = 1260 years (js)] (122:5) 91 see

Beast with 7 heads & 10 horns: So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. (rev 17:3).. And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. (rev 17:12). [The seven heads represent seven Kingdoms. In real life, the Umayyads reigned over seven dominions: Seria, Persia, Egypt, Arabia, North Africa, Spain, and Turkey. There were 15 Umayyad rulers, but some shared the same name (or the same horn), so there were only 10 names of rulers, or 10 horns (js)] (122:6) 91 see

Beasts has power to hurt 5 months: And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power [was] to hurt men five months. (rev 9:10) [5 x 30 = 150 years. In real life, the Umayyads exercised power over Islam for 150 years (js)] (122:7) 91 see

Woman into Wilderness: And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred [and] threescore days. (rev 12:6).. And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. (rev 12:14) [Thousand Two Hundred and Three-Score Days = 1260 and a Time, Times and Half a Time = 1260. The Messiah will come after a 1260 year interval. According to a prophecy of Zoroaster, the 1260 year period of time started with the "inception of the religion of the Arabian" (Islam). According to the Bahá'í Teachings, the Beast is the Umayyad Dynasty of Islamic Caliphs, and the dynasties that followed (js)] (122:8) 91 see
