Christ said "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing" (mat 7:15) (16:1) see

Bahá'u'lláh uses the very same imagery when referring to the clergy: "O ye that are foolish, yet have a name to be wise! Wherefore do you wear the guise of shepherds, when inwardly ye have become wolves, intent upon my flock" (hwd 30:2) (16:2) see

Additionally, false prophets will: (16:3)

Christ said: "Ye shall know them by their fruits.. (mat 7:16-20) ["the fruits of the Spirit are love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance.." (Paul) gal 5:22-23 (16:10) see

Each individual should make his own independent search for truth, not accept another's findings. Each person is responsible for his relationship with God.. (16:11)
