"Without the Holy Spirit he (man) would have no intellect, he would be unable to acquire his scientific knowledge... The illumination of the Holy Spirit gives to man the power of thought, and, through the mediation of the Prophets of God, teaches spiritual virtues to man." (Pt 59) (22:5)

"The power of the Holy Spirit, enlightening man's intelligence, has enabled him to discover means of bending many natural laws to his will. He flies through the air, floats on the sea, and even moves under the waters... The Holy Spirit will give to man greater powers than these, if only he will strive after the things of the spirit and endeavor to attune his heart to the Divine infinite love." (Pt 37- 8) (22:6)

"'Love is the breath of the Holy Spirit in man.'" (Pt 30) "It is only by the breath of the Holy Spirit (love) that spiritual development can come about." "Divine virtues are the breathings of the Holy Spirit itself." "By the power of the Holy Spirit, working through his soul, man is able to perceive the Divine reality of things." (Pt 133; Pup 200; Pt 85) (22:7)

"If the spiritual qualities of the soul, open to the breath of the Divine Spirit, are never used, they become atrophied, enfeebled, and at last incapable; whilst the soul's material qualities alone being exercised, they become terribly powerful-- and unhappy, misguided man becomes more savage,... than the lower animals." "Man cannot free himself from the rage of the carnal passions except by the help of the Holy Spirit." "By the Power of the Holy Spirit alone is man able to progress." so limited and dependent is he. (Pt 97; Saq 105; Pt 163) (22:8)
