The body "sees" with Senses and Memory- this makes a low gear animal reaction. The mind "sees" with Reason and Imagination (rational power), human-- 2nd gear. The soul "sees" with Faith and Intuition ("eyes of the heart") in-- high gear. Only what the soul sees in the light of divine Revelation is pure knowledge-- what the rest of us see is only part- truth, imperfect, often totally untrue; and imperfect vision causes imperfect or "bad" feelings and wrong reactions. "The foundation of success and salvation is the knowledge of God, and... the results of the knowledge of God are the good actions which are the fruits of faith." (Saq 275)
