The body "sees" with Senses and Memory- this makes a low gear animal reaction. The mind "sees" with Reason and Imagination (rational power), human-- 2nd gear. The soul "sees" with Faith and Intuition ("eyes of the heart") in-- high gear. Only what the soul sees in the light of divine Revelation is pure knowledge-- what the rest of us see is only part- truth, imperfect, often totally untrue; and imperfect vision causes imperfect or "bad" feelings and wrong reactions. "The foundation of success and salvation is the knowledge of God, and... the results of the knowledge of God are the good actions which are the fruits of faith." (Saq 275) (75:1)

"All parts (of the body) function under certain laws that are essential to existence...; and though that all- unifying agency in the temple of man be not sensed or seen and the reality thereof be unknown, yet by its effects it manifesteth itself with the greatest power." ("Agency" is the soul) (Bwf 345) (75:2)

"Man..., though in body the captive of nature is yet free in his mind and soul, and hath the mastery over nature." (Bwf 338) (75:3)

"The spirit (soul) possesseth various grades and stations... In the animal world there is the sense of feeling, but in the human world there is an all- embracing power... The reasoning power of the mind proveth the existence of the soul. (using this power gives a "2nd gear" or human reaction) (Bwf 338) (75:4)

"The wonderful law of attraction, Harmony and Unity, holds together this marvelous creation." (Pt 139) (75:5)

"Love is the cause of life; on the other hand, separation brings death." "Love and affinity are the cause of life, and discord and separation are the cause of death." (Pt 139; Pup 202) (75:6)

"Love is the fundamental principle of God's purpose for man, and He has commanded us to love each other even as He loves us." (Pt 122) (75:7)

"What a power is love! It is the most wonderful, the greatest of all living powers... In the world of existence there is indeed no greater power than the power of love. When the heart of man is aglow with the flame of love, he is ready to sacrifice all-- even his life." (Pt 179- 80) (75:8)

"The leviathan of love swalloweth the master of reason and destroyeth the Lord of Knowledge... love... hath bound a myriad victims in his fetters." (7 Val p10) (75:9)

"Baha'u'llah has rent the veil of prejudice and superstition which was stifling the souls of men." (Pt 34) (75:10)

Those who are spiritually receptive are called "the very incarnations of longing,... the embodiments of vehement desire." (Gl 32) (75:11)
