"Love manifests its reality in deeds, not only in words." (Pt 35) (76:2)

"Love is the conscious bestowal of God, the bond of affiliation in all phenomena... All composite beings or existing phenomena are made up primarily of single elements bound together by a power of attraction... The power of cohesion expressed in the mineral kingdom is in reality love or affinity manifested in a low degree... In the vegetable kingdom... we find an increased power of attraction has become manifest among the composing elements... We enter the animal kingdom... (and) observe that the animals are susceptible to certain affiliation and fellowship, and that they exercise natural selection. This elemental attraction, this admixture and selective affinity is love manifest in the degree of the animal... Finally... the kingdom of man... is the superior kingdom, the light of love is more resplendent. In man... beyond and above all these lower powers we discover... the attraction of heart, the susceptibilities and affinities which bind men together, enabling them to live and associate in friendship and solidarity. It is therefore evident that in the world of humanity the greatest king and sovereign is love." (Pup 249- 50) (76:3)

"Beware... lest ye estrange yourselves from the servants of God. You must consider all His servants as your own family... God has created men to love each other." (Pup 465) (76:4)

"You must love your friend better than yourself, yes, be willing to sacrifice yourself." "Be most loving one to another. Burn away, wholly for the sake of the Well- Beloved, the veil of self with the flame of the undying Fire, and with faces joyous and beaming with light, associate with your neighbor." (Pup 213; Bwf 118) (76:5)

"Cleanse from your hearts the love of worldly things,... from your entire being whatsoever... may tempt you to follow the promptings of your evil and corrupt inclinations. Let God be your fear, O people." (Gl 275) (76:6)

"The essence of love is for man to turn his heart to the Beloved One, and sever himself from all else but God, and desire naught save that which is the desire of his Lord." (Bwf 140- 1) (76:7)

"The true seeker hunteth naught but the object of his quest, and the lover hath no desire save union with his beloved. Nor shall the seeker reach his goal unless he sacrifice all things." (7 Val p7) (76:8)

At times "there is an immediate and vivid perception by the soul. Exhilaration is experienced. The soul (in the world of dreams) journeys, perceives, senses. It often happens that a man in a state of wakefulness has not been able to accomplish the solution of a problem, and when he goes to sleep he will reach that solution in a dream." (Pup 411) (76:9)
