Say: If it be that your fathers, your sons, your brothers, your mates, or your kindred; the wealth that ye have gained; the commerce in which ye fear a decline: or the dwellings in which ye delight - are dearer to you than God, or His Apostle, or the striving in His cause;- then wait until God brings about His decision: and God guides not the rebellious. (9:24)

O ye who believe! there are indeed many among the priests and anchorites, who in Falsehood devour the substance of men and hinder (them) from the way of God. And there are those who bury gold and silver and spend it not in the way of God: announce unto them a most grievous penalty- (9:34)

Let not their wealth nor their (following in) sons dazzle thee: in reality God's plan is to punish them with these things in this life, and that their souls may perish in their (very) denial of God. (9:55)

Qarun was doubtless, of the people of Moses; but he acted insolently towards them: such were the treasures We had bestowed on him that their very keys would have been a burden to a body of strong men, behold, his people said to him: "Exult not, for God loveth not those who exult (in riches). (28:76)

Know ye (all), that the life of this world is but play and amusement, pomp and mutual boasting and multiplying, (in rivalry) among yourselves, riches and children. Here is a similitude: How rain and the growth which it brings forth, delight (the hearts of) the tillers; soon it withers; thou wilt see it grow yellow; then it becomes dry and crumbles away. But in the Hereafter is a Penalty severe (for the devotees of wrong). And Forgiveness from God and (His) Good Pleasure (for the devotees of God). And what is the life of this world, but goods and chattels of deception? (57:20)

O ye who believe! Let not your riches or your children divert you from the remembrance of God. If any act thus, the loss is their own. (63:9)

Your riches and your children may be but a trial: but in the Presence of God, is the highest, Reward. (64:15)

Because he possesses wealth and (numerous) sons. (68:14)

"'Give you increase in wealth and sons; and bestow on you gardens and bestow on you rivers (of flowing water). (71:12)

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), (102:1)

Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, (104:2)

Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! (104:3)

No profit to him from all his wealth, and all his gains! (111:2)
