--2 Samuel-- And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. (7:12) He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever. (7:13) I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men: (7:14) But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took [it] from Saul, whom I put away before thee. (7:15) And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever. (7:16) Although my house [be] not so with God; yet he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all [things], and sure: for [this is] all my salvation, and all [my] desire, although he make [it] not to grow. (23:5) --1 Chronicles-- And it shall come to pass, when thy days be expired that thou must go [to be] with thy fathers, that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom. (17:11) He shall build me an house, and I will stablish his throne for ever. (17:12) I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took [it] from [him] that was before thee: (17:13) But I will settle him in mine house and in my kingdom for ever: and his throne shall be established for evermore. (17:14) --2 Chronicles-- Now therefore, O Lord God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel; yet so that thy children take heed to their way to walk in my law, as thou hast walked before me. (6:16) --Psalms-- I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant (89:3) Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah (89:4) The Lord hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne (132:11) If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore (132:12) --Acts of the Apostles-- After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: (15:16) --Epistle to the Romans-- And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.
