--Matthew-- Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. (17:4) --John-- Peter said unto him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee now? I will lay down my life for thy sake. (13:37) Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus. (18:10) Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre. (20:3) So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre. (20:4) And he stooping down, [and looking in], saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in. (20:5) Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie, (20:6) Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt [his] fisher's coat [unto him], (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea. (21:7) |
