--Matthew-- Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan, (3:5) And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins. (3:6) And when he would have put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a prophet. (14:5) For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen [it], repented not afterward, that ye might believe him. (21:32) --Mark-- And there went out unto him all the land of Judaea, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins. (1:5) But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all [men] counted John, that he was a prophet indeed. (11:32) --Luke-- Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? (3:7) And as the people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts of John, whether he were the Christ, or not; (3:15) But and if we say, Of men; all the people will stone us: for they be persuaded that John was a prophet. (20:6) --John-- Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples; (1:35) And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God! (1:36) And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus. (1:37) Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou? (1:38) He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour. (1:39) One of the two which heard John [speak], and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.
