A Psalm of David. The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid (27:1)

When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell (27:2)

Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident (27:3)

One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple (27:4)

For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock (27:5)

And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord (27:6)

Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me (27:7)

When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek (27:8)

Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation (27:9)

When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up (27:10)

Teach me thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies (27:11)

Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty (27:12)

I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living (27:13)

Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord (27:14)

To the chief Musician, A Song or Psalm. Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands (66:1)

Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious (66:2)

Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee (66:3)

All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah (66:4)

Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men (66:5)

He turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him (66:6)

He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah (66:7)

O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard (66:8)

Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved (66:9)

For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried (66:10)

Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins (66:11)

Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place (66:12)

I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows (66:13)

Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble (66:14)

I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah (66:15)

Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul (66:16)

I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue (66:17)

If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me (66:18)

But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer (66:19)

Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me (66:20)

A Song of degrees of David. I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord (122:1)

Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem (122:2)

Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together (122:3)

Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the Lord, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the Lord (122:4)

For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David (122:5)

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee (122:6)

Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces (122:7)

For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee (122:8)

Because of the house of the Lord our God I will seek thy good (122:9)

A Psalm of David. Blessed be the Lord my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight (144:1)

My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me (144:2)

Lord, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him! or the son of man, that thou makest account of him (144:3)

Man is like to vanity: his days are as a shadow that passeth away (144:4)

Bow thy heavens, O Lord, and come down: touch the mountains, and they shall smoke (144:5)

Cast forth lightning, and scatter them: shoot out thine arrows, and destroy them (144:6)

Send thine hand from above; rid me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange children (144:7)

Whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood (144:8)

I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee (144:9)

It is he that giveth salvation unto kings: who delivereth David his servant from the hurtful sword (144:10)

Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood (144:11)

That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace (144:12)

That our garners may be full, affording all manner of store: that our sheep may bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our streets (144:13)

That our oxen may be strong to labour; that there be no breaking in, nor going out; that there be no complaining in our streets (144:14)

Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the Lord (144:15)
